the worse form of skin cancer, it starts in melanocytes (Cells that make the

around the shoulders, while ladies often get it on the legs.
If you have a mole that is;

colour, Itching or painful, Bleeding or becoming crusty
You should go to the doctor straight away!, if you don't, you could even
die !
Anyone who is exposed to lots of sunlight or ultraviolet (UV) radiation
is at risk for melanoma. However, some people have a higher risk of getting
melanoma than others. The main cause of melanoma is too much ultraviolet
(UV) radiation reaching the skin. UV rays from the sun and other sources
(such as tanning booths) can damage skin cells, causing the cells to grow
abnormally.
Your at risk more if you are Fair skin, light eyes, Many freckles,
Severe, blistering sunburns as a child or adult, Family history of melanoma,
Having had melanoma in the past, More than 50 moles on the skin or a A
weakened immune system. |
