Most people would say that the sock size is the same as the shoe size,
however manufacturers might disagree with you, and as you know nothing is
simple in life.
Sizes for gloves, socks, and stockings are the same in both the UK and
Europe and the USA.
Sock sizes correspond to the length of your foot.
All women's socks are either sock size 8 -11 or 9-11 which fits shoe size
5-9 1/2.
All men's socks are sock size 10-13, which fits shoe size 8 1/2 - 12.
Children socks are as follows:
Age 0-18 months - sock size 3-4, which fits shoe size 1-5.
Age 2-4 years - sock size 5-6-1/2, which fits shoe size 5-10.
Age 5-8 years - sock size 7-8-1/2, which fits shoe size 11-3.
