Getting married by common license is equivalent in timing to the civil
method of getting married by certificate and license and it has the
advantage of not requiring banns to be published.
Marriage by Archbishop's Special License
Marriage by special license is very unusual and it must be approved by the
Archbishop of Canterbury.
Marriage by Superintendent Registrar's Certificate Without Licence.
The final method of getting married in accordance to the rites of the Church
of England, is by the authority of a superintendent registrar's certificate
